The connecting pipe shown here is a part of the exhaust system, whose function is to carry combustion gases between two sections of the assembly. It is a replacement part from KTM's range of exhaust components, identified with reference 76105979040, intended to replace the original pipe when it is damaged, rusted or deformed.
It is a metal pipe, with the ends shaped to fit and seal with the adjacent exhaust components, so that the assembly is joined without play or gas leaks.
The photograph shows a pipe with a circular cross-section, a metallic finish and a slight curve along its length, along with a flared end that allows it to connect with the next section of the exhaust.
As a replacement part, it ensures the leak-free continuity of the exhaust section where it is installed, preventing gas leaks and noise at the joint between sections.
