This front sprocket cover is a protective element from the KTM PowerParts spares catalogue, located at the output area of the gearbox, where the sprocket that transmits movement to the chain is housed.
It reproduces the shape of the engine casing in that area to cover the sprocket and the initial section of the chain, protecting the assembly against stones, mud and other debris that could strike or get tangled in the transmission while riding.
The photo shows a curved cover that follows the contour of the engine, with a matte finish and several mounting points prepared for fixing it to the casing with screws.
Fitting it keeps the front sprocket area from being exposed, reducing the risk of branches, stones or other objects catching in the transmission during off-road use.
