This cap head screw is part of KTM's PowerParts hardware and is used to mount fairings, brackets and other components where a discreet, low-profile fixing is required. It is a common replacement part when carrying out disassembly work in the workshop.
It complies with the DIN 912 standard, which defines cap head screws with an internal hexagon, in the M4x12 size. This head geometry allows tightening with an Allen key and offers a compact profile that barely protrudes from the mounting surface.
The photo shows the smooth cylindrical head with the centred hexagonal socket, a dark metallic finish and the millimetre thread visible along the full length of the screw's shank.
Its cylindrical head is especially useful at points where space is limited or where a cleaner finish than that of a conventional hex head is desired.
