This magnetic drain screw, in M8x20 size and ISA40 key fitting, is a drain plug from the PowerParts range intended for maintenance of the motorcycle's lubrication circuit, specifically for oil changes.
It is a screw with M8 thread and a length of 20mm that incorporates a magnet built into its inner end, whose function is to retain the metal particles present in the oil during draining, reducing their presence in the circuit when it is refilled. This plug is operated with an ISA40 key.
The photograph shows a metal part with a dark finish, with an external hexagonal head and thread visible on the shank, with the sturdy look typical of a crankcase drain plug.
Using it at every oil change helps keep the lubricant freer of metal debris thanks to the magnet built into the screw itself.
