This chest protector from the PowerWear range is designed for motocross riders looking for lightweight chest protection without sacrificing ventilation. It comes in orange and black, in a unisex version, for women and men.
Its construction uses a combination of polypropylene, ethylene vinyl acetate, polyester and TPU silicone, resulting in a three-layer protector with a highly perforated impact protection insert. The shells and plastic structures are perforated across their entire surface to improve breathability, while the adjustable elastic straps feature thermoformed, also perforated plates that reinforce the rib area. At the back, a thermoformed EVA extension adds protection to the lower spine. Closure is achieved with a redesigned quick-release elastic buckle system, adjustable shoulder straps and removable padded shoulder pads, plus silicone BNS strips that make fitting the neck brace easier.
The photo shows the typical vest-style protector design, with perforated rigid shells on the chest and black lateral reinforcements over an orange base, combining rigid areas with more flexible textile panels on the sides and shoulders.
The combination of perforations on the shells, plates and straps provides ventilation during exertion, while the removable shoulder pads and buckle system allow the protector to be adjusted to the rider's build and adapted for use with a neck brace compatible with the Bionic system.
