This KTM engine guard is designed for riders who ride on tracks, uneven roads or loose-gravel terrain, where the sump and exhaust header are especially exposed to impacts. It is a part designed to cover precisely that lower engine area.
According to the manufacturer, it offers optimum protection against stone impact and against the damage the engine can suffer in a fall, two of the most common situations when leaving tarmac behind. It carries HOMNN_EU approval and a black finish that requires no extra maintenance and blends in with the rest of the lower fairing.
The photograph shows a single-tone black part, with a shape that follows the contour of the lower engine area and adapts to the sump and exhaust header without altering the bike's original lines.
Once fitted in place, it acts as a first line of defence against contact with stones, roots or the ground itself in a fall, preventing the impact from reaching the sump or exhaust header directly.
