This axle reduction kit solves a very specific need: fitting a front wheel with a different axle diameter than the one used on the installed fork, without having to replace both components separately. It is aimed at those who combine front ends of different specifications in the workshop or when setting up the bike.
According to the manufacturer, together with the wheel axle reference 50309081200 and the nut reference 50309082100, this kit allows front wheels with a 20 mm axle diameter to be fitted to forks whose brake side works with a 26 mm axle diameter. It is therefore a complementary part that does not work on its own, but integrated with those two references.
The photo shows a cylindrical metal bushing or sleeve, with a functional finish typical of a mechanical fitting part, with no decorative elements, designed to sit between the axle and the wheel hub.
In use, this reduction kit makes it possible to fit axles of different diameters together, making it easier to mount the front wheel without play or improvised adjustments.
