This FMF Fatty 2T exhaust is the expansion chamber for two-stroke engines, intended for those looking to optimise the power delivery of their KTM without losing reliability in daily use on track or in competition terrain.
It is made from extra-strong sheet steel, with a nickel-plated surface that protects the metal against corrosion and the heat generated by the exhaust gases. Its interior geometry is calculated to offer a wide, even rev range, as well as allowing a higher rev ceiling than the stock header.
The photo shows the characteristic silhouette of an expansion chamber, with its bulging belly and narrowed outlet section, all finished in a bright silver nickel-plated coating, with no paint or colour coatings.
The result in use is greater traction and better throttle control, especially noticeable when this header is paired with an FMF silencer, forming an exhaust system designed to work together as a unit.
