These pannier mounts are part of KTM's side luggage system, designed for riders running the side pannier set who need a firm attachment point on the bike's chassis. They are fitted without having to change the passenger footpegs, which simplifies installation compared with other mounting systems.
Their design distributes the load evenly across the available mounting points on the chassis, preventing the weight of the panniers from bearing down on a single point of the bike. The panniers sit in a floating mount on these attachments, a system that prevents swaying at high speed and keeps the whole assembly stable on the move. They carry HOMNN_EU approval.

In use, this mounting system provides greater stability for the side panniers when riding at high speed and a more direct installation, since it does not require touching the passenger footpegs.
