The KTM backrest is an accessory designed for the passenger, aimed at riders who regularly travel two-up and want extra support at the rear of the bike on long rides or multi-day trips.
According to the manufacturer, its purpose is to offer greater passenger comfort: it is a padded piece that integrates into the rear area of the seat and supports the passenger's back, reducing the feeling of instability under braking, acceleration and extended cornering. It carries HOMNN_EU approval, the same as the rest of the brand's luggage and comfort components.
The photo shows a padded, black-finished piece with visible stitching marking out the upholstery panels and a curved shape that follows the contour of the back, with a profile that blends into the rear line of the bike without looking bulky.
In daily use, this backrest provides a stable support point for the passenger, which is especially useful on long trips, whether on the road or on tour, where holding a riding position for hours becomes far more manageable with a firm lumbar support behind the passenger.
