This KTM handguard kit is aimed at off-road and supermoto riders looking for solid protection for hands and levers against falls, flying stones or contact with branches on the track. It is a common component when prepping bikes for demanding off-road use.

The assembly relies on a sturdy aluminium mount that fixes the protector to the handlebar with the rigidity needed to take impacts without deforming, while the handguard shield is made from resistant plastic, with a wide, generous design that wraps around the brake and clutch lever area to prevent them from snapping in a fall. The finish is black.

The photograph shows the typical silhouette of this type of protector: a wide shield in matte black plastic mounted on a metal aluminium mount, with the reinforcement lines typical of a part designed to take knocks.

In daily use, it reduces hand fatigue from the wind and protects the levers from sideways impacts, preventing a fall from leaving the bike out of action due to a broken lever.
