The KTM Handguard Kit is a hand protection accessory designed for riders who cover daily commutes or long rides and want to reduce the effect of wind, rain and cold on the controls. This is the closed version, which wraps fully around the lever area and provides a continuous barrier against the elements.
It is made from two-component plastic: the central part is black and has been designed with reinforced break resistance to offer optimal protection in the area most exposed to impacts, while the upper and lower sections, in colour, are built from a more flexible material capable of absorbing the toughest stresses without cracking. This combination of rigidity at the centre and flexibility at the ends is the basis of its construction.
The photo shows a handguard with wraparound lines and a matte black finish, with a smooth surface and a refined look that gives it a cleaner appearance than traditional handguards. The closed design covers both the brake lever and the grip area with no open gaps.
In use, it shields the hands from wind and rain, helps maintain better feel on the controls in adverse weather conditions and, thanks to the strength of the central section, withstands knocks and minor impacts without losing its protective function.
