This APEX PRO 7117 steering damper kit is developed for use on the race track, aimed at riders looking to avoid unpleasant handlebar kickback caused when the front wheel meets irregularities at high speed.
It is a high-quality steering damper from WP Suspension, made of aluminium with an anodized finish and EC-V approval, tested in competitions such as the IDM and Moto3™. This competition pedigree backs up the build quality of the assembly, although the manufacturer does not specify the number of click adjustments or the shaft coating for this reference.
The photo shows the damper body in anodized aluminium, cylindrical and compact in shape, with the shaft and the mounting points that secure it between the chassis and the steering knuckle.
