This APEX PRO 7117 steering damper kit is developed for use on the race track, aimed at riders looking to avoid unpleasant handlebar kickback when the front wheel is forced during hard braking or by road surface irregularities.
It is a high-quality steering damper from WP Suspension, tested in competitions such as the IDM and Moto3™, made of aluminium with an anodized finish and ABE / EC-V approval. Damping is adjustable across 30 notches, and that adjustment is made directly on the shaft, allowing for an especially streamlined design. The shaft is coated with a special chrome alloy that offers very low friction coefficients.
The photo shows the slim body of the damper in anodized aluminium, with the chrome shaft and the notch adjustment ring built into the body itself.
In riding, this damper delivers more stable steering control and allows the response to be fine-tuned across 30 different positions, performance backed by its use in competitions such as the IDM and Moto3™.
