The KTM tire pressure monitoring system is a safety electronic component designed for riders who want to keep track of their tire condition at all times without manual checks. It is part of the PowerParts electronics and safety range, and sends the pressure reading directly to the bike's digital display.
The system uses sensors housed in each wheel's valve that transmit air pressure to the instrument cluster, so the value is always visible without needing an external gauge. If pressure drops, for example due to a puncture or tire damage, the system issues a warning to the rider. For the function to work, the KTM dealer must activate it using the XC2 diagnostic tool once the kit has been fitted.
The photo shows the compact sensors, with a metal body and mounting thread, designed to fit into the wheel valve without adding bulk or unbalancing the wheel.
In daily use, the rider has constant monitoring of both tire pressures right from the instrument cluster, allowing a pressure loss to be detected in time and addressed before it turns into a bigger problem.
