This KTM header bushing is the connecting piece that joins the exhaust header to the cylinder head or cylinder body, a simple but necessary component for keeping the gas passage sealed at that point in the engine. It is part of the PowerParts engine and exhaust spares catalogue.
It is made from an elastic material capable of withstanding the high temperatures of exhaust gases and engine vibrations, absorbing small misalignments between the header and cylinder without losing sealing. Its tubular shape fits by pressure onto both ends, acting as a flexible joint between the two metal parts.
The photo shows its short sleeve shape, circular in section, with a matte black finish and slightly reinforced ends to ease fitting and prevent deformation over time.
Once fitted, this bushing prevents gas leaks at the header joint, helping the exhaust maintain its seal and the engine keep the draw and sound it was tuned for.
