This brake caliper support is the structural part that secures the caliper to the fork assembly or to the swingarm on the KTM motorcycle, within the brakes and chassis spare parts category. It is the replacement part to consider when swapping out the caliper or servicing the front or rear braking system.
It is built as a single cast metal piece, with the characteristic raw finish typical of caliper supports, neither painted nor anodised, leaving the grainy texture of the casting process visible. It features the threaded holes for mounting the caliper and the anchor point to the fork leg or swingarm via through bolts.
The image shows an angular-shaped part, with two mounting arms and reinforcements at the load-bearing points, in matte metallic grey with a slightly rough surface, with no added decorative elements, as befits a purely functional component of the braking system.
Once fitted in place, this support keeps the caliper aligned with the brake disc, rigidly transmitting the braking force from the caliper to the structure of the motorcycle.
