According to the manufacturer, its function is to ensure the transmitter magnet stays fixed at the exact point the sensor needs to register the signal accurately, preventing it from shifting or losing its position after a configuration change. It requires the transmitter magnet reference 58214050054 to work, which is not included with this retaining bracket.
