This left-hand air filter box lid is an original KTM replacement part designed for anyone needing to replace the side panel of the filter box after a crash, wear, or simply to refresh the look of that area of the bike. It is part of the PowerParts plastics and bodywork catalogue, where exterior components are replaced while keeping the factory geometry intact.
It is made from plastic, the same material KTM uses as standard for its covers and fairings for its good resistance to knocks and impacts typical of track or off-road use. It also carries HOMNN_EU approval, guaranteeing its conformity for the European market.
The photo shows an anatomically shaped piece, with reinforcing ribs and cutouts to fit with the rest of the bodywork, finished in electronic orange, KTM's signature racing colour, with a smooth surface and no visible markings.
Fitted in position, it closes off the left-hand side of the filter box, protecting the filter element from dust, mud and water, and helps restore the bike's original look after a fall or heavy use.
