Adjustability
Precision and ease of configuration go hand in hand. In this case, the 5 clicks of adjustment on both the 43mm WP APEX front fork and the WP APEX shock provide the ideal setup for going deep, while the adjustable handlebars and levers ensure the perfect position for hitting the Diana, at all times.
Engine
Of course, this is not the first time that the name DUKE and the number 990 have been seen together. However, this machine has a completely different powerplant. Housed in the new chassis is a 947 cc LC8c parallel twin engine, which develops 123 HP and 103 Nm. Not only is it very powerful, it is also the most compact twin-cylinder in its class, adding to the agile dynamic characteristics of the KTM 990 DUKE. More aggressive camshaft profiles and longer valve opening times improve rideability, while a wider radiator with optimized airflow ensures everything stays cool. A new exhaust system completes this powerful package.
Ergonomics
The goal of the 2024 KTM 990 DUKE was simple: to develop the definitive medium-displacement street bike. The result is the lightest, most precise and performance-focused mid-class NAKED, providing unmatched rider response, performance and comfort in all riding situations. Additionally, the KTM 990 DUKE is designed to inspire confidence in all riders, from beginners looking for a little more, to advanced riders who want to tear up the asphalt.
Chassis
The KTM 990 DUKE has been developed based on a completely new tubular chassis, with torsional rigidity and riding feel as a top priority, thanks to the use of forged parts on sheet metal panels and an axle point of the integrated swingarm, which adds additional rigidity. A die-cast aluminum subframe integrates the air filter box and under-seat air intakes, reducing weight.
