This fuel tank protection sticker kit for KTM is designed to preserve the original tank paint at the points where rubbing from the legs, knees and riding gear causes faster wear. It is applied to the side surfaces of the tank, the area most exposed to scratching while riding.
It is made from a high-quality elastic base film, able to conform to the curved shapes of the tank without leaving visible creases. The surface has a structure that improves the rider's grip on the tank, a relevant detail on a touring bike where many hours are spent in motion. The finish is black and the part achieves a precise fit to the original tank contour.
The photo shows a matte-finish black sticker with a slightly rough texture to the touch, cut precisely to follow the side lines of the tank.
Once fitted, this kit prevents scratches and dull patches from appearing on the tank paint, keeping a neat look while also providing better grip for holding on with the legs while riding.
