This windshield kit for KTM gains wind protection compared with the standard screen, an option designed for riders who combine road use with long journeys and want to arrive less fatigued at the end of the day. It is a taller screen than the original, designed to fit onto the standard mount without any further modification.
The manufacturer states that it offers more comfort on long journeys, improves wind protection and relieves the rider's upper body during the ride. With a height of 291 mm, it features EC-V approval and a toned finish that reduces the material's shine and slightly masks dirt build-up with use.
The photograph shows a screen with a curved profile and a larger size than usual, with the dark, semi-transparent tone typical of the toned finish, a smooth surface with no visible texture, and the lower edge drilled with the mounting points for fitting to the original mount.
By increasing the protection height, it diverts airflow above the helmet and reduces the pressure normally felt on the chest and shoulders at road speeds, easing postural strain on multi-hour rides.
