This mounting pin is part of KTM's workshop accessories, designed for those who service their motorcycle at home or in the workshop using the same tooling as the brand. It acts as an adapter for the front wheel work stand, allowing the bike to be lifted by resting the stand on the triple clamp instead of on the fork tubes.
This is a part classified by KTM as a recommended accessory and carries HOMNN_EU approval. Its function is to serve as the anchor point between the triple clamp and the stand's arm, keeping the contact point centred and firm during lifting, without putting load on the fork or its seals.
The photo shows a cylindrical, metal-finish pin, threaded along most of its length, with a head designed for tightening with a tool. Its compact size means it can be stored alongside the rest of the workshop tooling while taking up very little space.
Fitted to the corresponding stand, this mounting pin makes it possible to work with the front wheel removed, with the bike stable and without resting weight on the front end, making tasks such as tyre changes, brake disc inspection or steering head bearing maintenance easier.
